So, I am burned out. Running hasn't been a challenge since the marathon. It's enjoyable, don't get me wrong. But, I have been missing something.
Cross-training! Spin class! I went Tuesday morning and again this morning. I could hardly sit on the freaking seat when I showed up today! Owie mama! My bum hurt. Bad. But, I felt better 'in the saddle' if you will than I did Tuesday. I went for a 5 mile run in between cross training on Wednesday and felt like I could breath forever. Cycling actually gets my heart rate up higher than my 9:00 min/mile runs. Maybe that will change over time, but for me right now, it is a challenge I can handle.
Now, maybe I should invest in some sweet padded shorts...

the turf is not that bad. we did run on some grass too... which was hilarious!
